Both the Acrylic and Metal versions of these wall art prints are developed with the same incredibly sharp and detail-rich ultraHD Photo Print process (using Fuji Crystal Professional Archive Maxima paper) as my regular photo prints, but the presentation turns them into real statement pieces.
All acrylic and metal prints include built-in wall mounts. Note that the wall mounts change slightly depending on size, so they may not look exactly as pictured.
Acrylic
The ultraHD image is developed, attached to a sturdy backing, and then placed under a light, shatterproof piece of 2mm acrylic glass, and sealed with silicone. The result is a shimmering and slightly 3D effect that makes the image pop. Photos can’t really do it justice, unfortunately.
Due to the nature of the glass, this option is only available in glossy.
Metal
Rather than printing an image directly to metal as most places do, the image is developed using the previously-mentioned photo paper, then mounted to 3mm thick aluminum Dibond, a 3 layer composite material that ensures maximum stability but weighs very little. The image is then sealed using a silicone sealant.
Since there’s no glass between you and the image, this process creates a very high definition lifelike image that you have to see to believe!
With the metal print, you can opt for a glossy or matte finish. Glossy maximizes color intensity, whereas the matte surface prevents much of the glare you can get with glossy.
Still can’t decide?

This image is proof that great things can come from moments that didn’t turn out as you’d hoped.
In this case, I was all geared up for a shot of this location with an epic sunset. After driving three and a half hours to the location, I realized just how wrong the weather forecast was for that day!
Instead, I found crystal clear skies with no hope for semi-cloudy sunset drama and colors that one is typically hoping for when they are shooting the sunset.
Since I had already come all that way, I decided to stick around until after dark to test out the low light capability of my new Sony A7RIV and ended up with one of my favorite images of the 2021 summer season.
With the extra time I had, I even ended up making a behind-the-scenes video where I walk through how I captured this image. You can find it on my YouTube channel or by scrolling further down this page.

My recommendation is to make your purchasing decision primarily based on where you want to hang this wall art.
Since prints are reflective instead of luminous (like your computer or mobile screen, for instance, which emits their own light), the lighting of your space and the viewing angle can make a big difference in your enjoyment of this piece, particularly since the shadows in this image contain the majority of the rich detail.
This image will look best in a location with soft, even lighting. Harsh lighting could make the details hard to see, particularly on the acrylic and glossy metal versions because they will glare, and if the room is too dark, your wall art will also seem dark.
If the spot you have in mind for this image is a location with harsh lighting, then I recommend the metal version with the matte coating. This option will resist glare the best.
